Wow, does that bring back some memories. Somewhere I have a '68 Hot Rod mag. with an article about the "Big Z", covering his work on cars, boats and airplanes.

Very cool! They mention the Sorrell built tail section several times. Was it the same Sorrell that designed the Hiperbipe by chance?

I was at the CHRR in 06 and saw it in it's as found state, and was there again in '07 and saw it finished.
Was a real shame the motor broke and it didn't run in the Sat night Cacklefest.

I couldn't make it over for this years event a few weeks ago.

I was there on the Saturday, but didn't know about this particular car & I'm not sure if I saw it or not.

Did manage to pick up a sign for the garage tho:

Yeah, I posted a few pics of her here a few years ago when it was found. Really nice resto and she is cackling really nicely now!

The car is currently here in San Diego but the owner has taken on a new project in Tenessee, I think, and will be moving and taking the car with him.
