Naaa, my dream is to see three full size unfinshed Corsair mock-ups in a huge 1:1 scale diorama of the plant with two giant mirrors facing each other. Kinda like that 1:48th scale B-26 diorama.

Thanks for posting!

I really enjoy the photos of the factory. I have been thinking about some of the various fixtures and jigs for subassemblies. More pictures please!

....and somewhere in that factory was my grandfather, doing his regular working day thing....painting pictures of the plane, helping with blueprints...right up until the company moved to Dallas....would love to know where specifically he worked....but it was great to see the place back in 2005 at the Corsairs over Connecticut show...even showered in one of the hangars....

Also somewhere in the plant was a project manager who did'nt want to make changes to the production line because 'he did'nt want to hear any more about the problems the Corsair had...' Amazing. Planes were killing pilots and he did'nt want to straighten the situation out. Too much of an inconvenience apparently.

?Wait, during his working years? If so, i wonder if he took a dip in the giant inside waterfall that was located in the paint-shop.
