What do these three aircraft have in common?

Their paint.....The paint (water base) was purchased at The Home Depot, and applied with a roller! Not too shabby for on a budget! The C-47 took 26 gallons...13 gallons of Glidden's Gripper, and 13 gallons of top coat paint

water based.....The Phantom there was painted in polyurethane 4 years ago...looks like it's ready to be painted again....The staff have high hopes with the Glidden paint...for now there's no worry with EPA.

I'd certainly be upset if I had to paint my house every 4 years! Not sure it would protect aluminum in a salt air environment as well though, but that isn't a big problem at March.
