WOH picture thread!!

Fri Oct 24, 2008 8:56 pm

I wanted to start a WOH 2008 pix thread. We took the West Houston Sq's T-6 over to EFD early this afternoon. We landed while a NASA T-38 was bouncing the pattern. Shortly there after the C-17 and C-47 flight gave us a few flybys. Also ole' 927 showed up and parked next to Thunderbird. So here you go......

The Shuttle Carrier Aircraft is quite an engineering feat. I hope when the Shuttle program ends, the two carrier aircraft are preserved...

MANY thanks for posting those very clear pictures. Especially enjoyed seeing some a/c that don't make it up North very often...or at all.

That blue SNJ has just enough patina to make it really attractive to my eyes. 8) Wish I could have made it there!

Rick's A-26 came from the Bob Pond Collection, it's a former firebomber that Jerry Janes used to own.

Tulio, sorry I missed you. I was going back and forth between the CF static area and the UH-1E on the warbird ramp. Gonna go back out tomorrow ?
