Hi Gang,

Just curious to see if anybody out there has painted a DC-3. Looking to see how many gallons it took you, and what the scheme was. Helping some friends figure out a paint solution, and could use the info.

Thanks in advance.

We recently re-shot one of our planes with a D-Day paint scheme. I don't know how many gallons it took of the top of my head, but I'll see if I can figure it out next time I go to the hangar. It also took what seemed like acres of masking and tape!! We were happy with the end result, though!

I think Jim Terry painted his with house paint. You might contact him at Pacific Prowler. He's real happy with the way it turned out. Dan Scott (N150D) touches his up with house paint.
