Also just to keep the record straight as far as Wade goes.
Wade e-mailed me on the 7th October, NOT 'weeks ago", to ask what was happening with the DVD, I e-mailed him back immediately telling him the situation.
He replied with
"Thanks for the quick reply, Steve - looking forward to watching it as I paint!"
I have had NO other contact with Wade over this, he has not asked for more information or asked for a refund AT ANY POINT
Now just 10 days later I'm surprised to read this on the forum, well I've refunded your money and frankly it's your loss, trust me I really don't need you to "subsidise" my business
For anyone else that has ordered the DVD the NTSC Version ships Monday morning.

I had a nice long response here that blasted Steve with both barrels, but let me just dispense with that knee-jerk reaction and just say that I got Steve's refund and I wish him the best. As I said TWICE in posts above, the products are good. I hope you enjoy them.

All due respect but isn't this kind of thing what PMs are for?

You're right (as usual), Mudge - but I was so taken aback by seeing the DVD advertised on eBay (with, presumably quick, or at least expeditious shipment that eBay demands) that I overreacted, and my emotions got the best of me.
I'm ashamed of my tone, and I hereby apologize to Steve. As I said a couple of times, great product. Think I'll just go on terminal leave from WIX. I ain't got no warbird, anyway. I need to stick to the art forums where at least I know what I'm talking about.

Stick around Wade, I for one would miss your input.

Steve, you put out an awesome product so keep up the great work. Now, get that out on Blu-ray ASAP and make it region free for us yanks. Also, when they get the DB-605 powered Messerschmitt’s flying again you need to make an HD video of that and I’ll be at the top of the list for purchase.

Wade, what's really depressed me about all this, is that I got a great kick out of picturing you creating some of your great art while watching my DVD!

Thanks, guys - with good words from Mudge and JDK, I best rethink withdrawing my leave papers ...

Thanks, Steve - I was sort of depressed myself about not having your DVD alongside of me! Back in July when I pre-ordered it, I linked to your trailer (Mustangs taking off) on several forums I visit - hope that got a few sales. I'll go to eBay now and order it (again

).
Cheers!

PS - I just ordered the '08 Legends DVD on eBay. I totally forgot about your Me 109 title, and ordered that as well. Can't wait to see them!

Now, I have another 'problem' - how to justify writing these purchases off as "business expenses"

... Motivational tool? Research? Inspiration? All of the above?

Wade, be sure to get the Blenheim DVD as well. The footage on that is simply stunning and among the best air-to-air video I've ever seen. It is one of my favorite DVD's in my entire collection, simply breathtaking. They take you along for a ride in the world's only (at that time) airworthy Bristol Blenheim. Ton's of first person and cockpit perspectives are interspersed with a narrative of the Blenheim chief pilot describing what's going on. It is so specific and pilot-oriented, that one could easily use it as a check-out video for future Blenheim pilots. It's a must buy DVD!
Steve is a truly talented videographer and editor and it really shows in all of his products. I have several of his DVD's and plan on getting everything he puts out on Blu-ray later.
You won't be disappointed, guaranteed!

Wise decision Mr. Meyers. I would have hated to have to send Bubba and Cletus to your house to do a little "persuading." (Yes, they know where you live.)
Mudge the enforcer
ps. I was thinking about sending Vito and Luca but they won't travel south of Philly.

I just wanted to make a point here to thank Steve for the DVD. I received a couple weeks ago and it was well worth the wait. I appreciate all the trouble he went though to get us the NTSC version.
Again, awesome job!

I'll second that as I received mine and then when over to Evil Bay and brought the rest of them. The Blenheim dvd won't work over on this side of the pond for me, but I bet its nice....

The Blenheim DVD works no problem for me. If you have a newer type DVD player AND a non-analog television or monitor it will probably work. Most new DVD players will play PAL discs PROVIDED it is region free, like the Blenheim DVD. Usually where the problem lies is in the television set or monitor. If you have a set/monitor capable of progressive scan, it will most likely play just fine.
Also, if you don't have such a setup, you can just play it on your computer. All computer monitor screens can play PAL discs.
