Are there any Blimp fans here?

I am lucky enough that several airships stage out of my local airport all summer long. (Readington, NJ)

They usually cruise up and down the major highways between central NJ and NYC.

The most frequent visitors are Horizon Healthcare/ Blue Cross Blue Shield, Metlife "Snoopy" 1 and 2, DirecTV.

I've also spotted three Goodyear blimps line astern, AND this past summer all three Metlife Snoopy blimps line astern.

They often will fly directly over my house.

I love these big gas bags. Anyone else?

I also have read reports that the London Zeppelin Company may base a sight seeing Blimp out of Lakehurst. http://www.staroverlondon.co.uk/

Don't know much about them, but would like to learn more.

Blimps are cool!

I have never seen more that 2 at a time and never both in the air together...It would be great to see three!

Air and Space mag has a story about the Zepplin NT coming to the US...in California and New Jersey.

We get them here in DFW pretty regular...Most of the time they stay at Arlington Muni. In fact there was a Met Life machine there this week.

I used to love to go to Houston and hang out at the Goodyear landing field there. Too bad they sold it off and tore down the hanger...it's now a Lowe's hardware. :(

I got a ride on that one (it's now retired), my one and only Blimp ride!
