I received an email from friends in New Zealand and they have supplied me with an excellent website on air crew lost over Denmark:

www.airmen.dk is one site www.flensted.eu.com is the other along with www.raf.mod.uk/bombercommand/

They have experienced the great respect that the Danes have for the allied servicemen who had travelled huge distances to protect their country. This is their way of saying thank you to the fallen and also to members of their families who have come to pay respect to a relation.
I looked up the aircraft a 75 Squadron Stirling III in which a family member serving in the RCAF lost his life in in April '44 and was amazed to find photos of his crew and aircraft as they departed for their last mission. This was on the site: www.flensted.eu.com.

I edited your post headline to reflect the actual content of your post.

http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10563

The WIX community is understandably sensitive to the plight of the flying community and a headline such as "Aircrew lost over Denmark" could be taken as meaning a current event and therefore causes undue anguish.

We need to be careful how we word our post titles...

Thanks!
