That is the hard way to plow the field! Fast, but expensive!
My hat is off to all those gentlemen (and a few ladies) that put their lives on the line every time they strapped one on and shoved the throttle forwards!

Oh.....sure....the guy looks great standing in front of and then flying an F6F, but then he plops a PERFECTLY good Corsair down in a mudfield when you give him a hot fighter like an F4U......figures.....

Just kidding.....wonder if they fixed the F4U....

Cool pics! I like the corsair shot.

Hellcat, did your Dad ever say anything about the corsair crash?

A few more photos of Dad that I've never seen before, more to come when I, my sister or Jack can scan them. Thanks Jack so far for all your help, you know much more about places, dates and location of these photos than I do .... My sister is very grateful, and I'm only interested in stalking you .... haha .... Enjoy all ...

I'm not sure dad is flying that SB2C, but he was flying a SB2C that either took the photo, or was taken in the photo.

I'm not sure where dad was in this last photo ...

Great shots. Always nice to see never before published photos! What unit was your father in and when were the shots taken?
