:D Hi everyone,
I'm new here and found this site by following a link over at Airwarfareforum.com. I liked what I saw and so decided to join. I don't own a warbird or any aeroplane for that matter but I am very interested in aviation of all kinds.

A little of my background. I was born, raised and now once again live in Newcastle on the east coast of Australia. I'm a hospital security officer these days but in my younger years I spent over 17 years in the RAAF and before that 5 years in the ATC while I was high school. I was an aircraft electrician during my service days and worked on Mirages at 2OCU, Williamtown and C-130s at 486 Sqn, Richmond.

I'll soon be posting some pics from a fly-in I attended on the last weekend in August at Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield about 90 minutes drive west of Brisbane. There were over 150 aircraft of many types that flew in for the weekend.

Cheers,
Ross.

Greetings and welcome to the Forum, it can be an absolute blast in here. You have any question regarding Warbirds, and probably aviation in general, these guys know. Learned a lot, still learning. 8)

:D Thanks again to all those who have recently replied. Wardie, good to have a reply from someone so close. I was at 486 Sqn the second time from October 86 to September 89. I'm glad I found this community.

Cheers,
Ross.
