More...it is spectacular. The wiring harnesses were all pulled out and replaced with original...it is getting back to "showroom floor" standard...believe me we were all wishing we could take it around the patch!

Thanks for posting all those nice interior pictures.
This was the first B29 I ever got inside of, way back when it was outside during one of their Open Cockpit Sundays. The B29 is no longer available for inside touring by the general public, but several other a/c are still available during their Open Cockpit Sunday's: F4U Corsair, P47 Thunderbolt, F100 Super Sabre, DC3, etc.
The New England Air Museum fed my initial Warbird Fever way back when (very nicely fed, thank-you) and is a terrific museum for those of us in the warbird deprived New England area. Quite a nice collection that slowly but steadily is moving all their a/c indoors.
Not many other museums could survive that devastating tornado (1979) and rise like Phoenix from the ashes. It can be done with a good group of dedicated individuals and that is why we wish the best to the Yankee AF and the Lone Star Museum who have had similar catastrophes.

Is the B-29 restoration complete? Did they get the gun turrets installed? Anymore exterior shots? The plane looks fantastic.

I don't know about the forward turrets, but the aft lower is installed. The mechanism and hangar stanchion are visible in a couple of the photos above. It really is a beautiful machine, and I LOVE the natural metal finish!

i think i have some exterior shots from 06 when we were there, might have some of the turrets not installed yet as well if anyone is interested.
