As I was flipping through my 5 stations I get on my TV I noticed on PBS. A in flight shot of our favorite B-24J, a F4U-5NL, P-40M and a B-17G. It seems that Antics Road show is have a little thing about WW2 aircraft. Which seems to be focusing in on The Collings Foundation. I think it is on tonight in my neck of the woods.

Ryan any detail that you can share; they had a camera in the 24, in formation with your B-17. I assume it was the show in NH this past fall.

Interesting, I'm the one who referred the Antiques Roadshow to the Collings Foundation and the producer called me two weeks ago to see if I would be willing to promote it on the site. I of course agreed but he never got back to me. Hmmm... Anywho... Everybody should watch the show and could somebody tape it if possible for me. My VCR is in storage at them moment so I can't tape it.

My rabbit ears stink for reception. But I will try.

Here's the PBS blurb on the show tonight including links to us and Colling Web Site. Rob is going to be insufferable now. :)

I don't have access to TV stuff, but would be interested in what all is covered by "what's hot in aviation collectibles." Especially if they talk about WW2 pilot gear, etc...

It won't air in my area before thursday. It has replay dates all through the weekend. Use the Check local listings feature in the link Scott provided to find out when the best time to watch will be.

They were out filming quite awhile last year with us. The move flights included our Corsair...and they put microphones all over airplanes. Great guys, we had a good time helping them out.

Heh, you made the cut Jim, saw you walking past. I'll have to double check I thik I saw myself behind on of the planes they were filming. Too cool. Hopefully at least one of the people I asked will have taped it successfully.

I saw Jim run by the camera twice I think. Scott I also thought I caught a 1 sec shot of you in the back ground.

No blank videos at the house so I could not tape it. Not that it would have been worth re-watching. But they had some really nice shots and video.

Thanks anyways. Another friend did manage to tape it for me and another friend set up gear to capture it digitally but I won't find out tommorrow about that.

I really wish the "What's Hot in Aviation Collectibles" section would have been longer, they had some photos on display but never showed them close-up nor mentioned the value. All in all a nice little primer for the newcomer but the really great stuff was the air to air footage and the interview with the veteran in front of the Corsair.

I just saw the segment and you are right. That is you, I and Tim just before or just after we went in the C-47, standing there jawing. Go figure.

Hey,

Just caught this episode running again WGBX a few minutes ago.
It will run again early Tuesday:

Antiques Roadshow FYI
Tuesday, January 3, 5:30am
CHANNEL 44 (WGBX)

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW FYI correspondent Clay Reynolds discovers what happened to an 1822 first edition Carey American Atlas after it was appraised on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW in Chicago for $8,000 to $12,000. Host Lara Spencer gets a lesson in Delft tile collecting from appraiser Suzanne Perrault. Clay follows the emotional story of a World War II pilot as he visits a fleet of restored 'warbirds;' learns from expert Bruce Herman what's hot in World War II aviation collectibles; and interviews appraiser Alan Fausel about the astonishing true story of an art heist at a San Francisco museum—and equally incredible recovery—involving an original Rembrandt.
