Just a quick pass at the experts then I pull the thread.

Anyone know how to print the satelite views from Google? I'm trying to get a real perspective of my local flying area whilst taking my lessons but when I try to print, I get a cartoon map.

Ideally, I'd like to find a 2000 AGL view that is "real life". Other documents our there like sectionals but with satelite imagery?

I have been using Google Maps extensively and I still have had no success with printing the satellite views of the maps.

The easiest way to do it (which has too many steps for my taste) is to bring up the area you are looking for in Google Earth, make it full screen, then press Alt-Print Screen. Go into a program like Word or a graphic editor and press Ctrl-V (for past). You will see the screen shot appear. Print that document.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

depending on your PC alt+printscr or fn+print screen. open MS paint PASTE as new image...save it. open with MS photo editor or other prog. and use rectangle to cut out what you want from the image use COPY and then paste as new image...name it save it.

1. open your image
2. use PRINT SCREEN option
3. open paint--use paste command
4. save image as jpg or what ever you like best
5. open in a photo editor
6. select the part of the image you want
7. copy
8. paste as new image
