#483 is BuN. 80483 belonging to the Historic Flight Foundation in Seattle, WA. This plane (N6178C) was restored by Victoria Air Maintenance with assistance from Pacific Fighters. It used to wear the number 14 on it's nose.

Besides these 3 awsome looking examples, what other flyable, potentially flyable Tigercats are there? Seems im drawing a blank here.

I think there is one more currently flying (Duxford maybe?). Darryl Greenamyer has one he is restoring to fly, and Rod Lewis recently bought the one from the Zoo that will be flown as well.

West-Pac has a project in great condition. Planes of Fame also has a static that might be a future candidate for flight but it looks to be in pretty rough condition and I'm sure they have other priorities.

MX 304, Is a Tigercat really two seats. As I said, I have never sat in one or even had a ladder to look in the cockpit, but I have never seen more than one person in one that I know of. And the same other question, do they have any real historical value, perhaps in Korea?

They served as night fighters in Korea. I believe they had a few kills (probably Yaks).

They were predominantly doing night interdiction missions, on missions similar to the USAF's Invaders.

Ok, this is gonna' keep buggin' me, so I'll just ask:

Traditionally, aircraft bearing the Marine Corps anchor logo would have the anchor swinging toward the front of the aircraft, rather than the rear. This F7F has anchors on both sides of the nose, and both swing towards the stern. Does this have some special significance (like flying the US flag upside down), or did someone just pull a double "doh!" ?

Heres a picture Mark Watt took on the way home to Ione after Reno with a backseater.

Yep that’s Brian Sanders flying and I’m in the back. We were on our way back to Ione from Reno after the races this year. I’m 5’8” tall and it’s not too bad back there for me.
Here are some shots from my seat of September Pops with Matt Jackson flying and Mark Watt shooting away.
