No trip to CAF for me and Mrs. Mudge. Got T-boned going through an intersection last nite. I was one full car length into the intersection when the guy ran the light. He was sh_tfaced.
Direct hit on the driver's door. Crunched it in and pinned my knee against the steering column. (I'm SOOO thankful that Lin wasn't driving.) Didn't break anything, but VERRY painful and swollen. Same knee I had "scoped" last Nov. to repair a torn miniscus. Can't even walk on it. It's about the size of a cantaloupe.
Took the hospital about 45 minutes to find crutches tall enough for me.
Police said the car was stolen.

Mudge the crip :(

Not "Crip"...crip.

ps. Airbag deployment scared the crap outta' me.

Sorry to hear about the accident Mudge. There is always next year. The important thing is that you are ok.

Mark
P.S. Milk every minute of the care you get from Mrs. Mudge! :D

Glad you're OK Mudge. I always knew those car things were more dangerous than airplanes.

Hey Mudge,

I'm very sorry to hear what happened to you. That must have been a very horrific experience, especially being hit right where you were sitting, AND that you also had a loved one in the car with you.

I wish you a quick recovery.

Cheers,

David

Yeah, they got him. He was still sitting in the car when the State Police got there. He couldn't have been very far away. He got there about 2-3 minutes after Mrs. Mudge called 911.

Mudge the pi$$ed

ps. The drunk would have been in bigger trouble if he'd tried to run. I always carry a 1911 on my hip and I was just PO'd enough to pop him.

Sorry about your travel plans, but glad to hear you're still in one piece.

If I was in your crutches, I'd insist on cocktails and a Mrs. Mudge sponge bath about every 4 hours or so.

Mudge,

Glad you survived. I had a friend killed in a similar kind of accident almost a year ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Mudge,
Wow, the big boss upstairs was really looking out for both of you! This is the reason I feel soooooo much safer up in the air than on the ground. Less idiots up in the sky. Get well soon so you're all mended up for 2009.
I so enjoy your posts!
Now back to lurk mode....
