LSFM needs your help! Numerous people have contacted me about efforts to come out and help us get Lone Star Flight Museum & the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame back on her feet. For those that have stepped forward and offered a helping hand, we cant THANK YOU enough!! We all show back up here at the oasis called WIX because we all have one thing in common...the preservation and love of these aircraft!!

Donations are now being accepted at the Lone Star's website. Every little bit helps!!

LSFM DONATIONS: www.lsfm.org

God bless!!

Things are a little tight for me right now but I sent $50 your way and hope to send more later. Thank you for all you do to keep these beautiful planes in the air.

Trae is there anything you think I might be able to get from Dayton to help. Not sure if I can get anything or what I could get, but I would be willing to try.

The news today, Wed says people are allowed to return to Galveston. The Mon Austin paper had a story about how the city would restore, and showed Gaidos setting up tables outside their front door to serve workers.

The museum is just out of the left side of the picture posted by Ryan. That picture was taken as the water was rising, it got a lot higher !

There are updated photos of the damage and recovery operation on the museum's website, along with a message from Larry Gergory. The amount of cleanup that has been accomplished is astounding, at least from the photos. A long way to go, but hard work and the Seabees have given them a great start.

A lot of these folks are putting the Museum's recovery as their first priority, and I know that some of them are putting it ahead of their personal recovery from the storm. Thoughts and prayers for them are in order, along with all the monetary support you can spare. A bit of money from each of us might not seem like a lot, but IT WILL HELP. These folks deserve all the support we can give them as they recover from this disaster.

Some shots of Thunderbird last year on a pleasant romp over Galveston Island. Happier Times, for certain.

Just so y'all know, and in case you want to see them, Lonestar's B-17 and B-25 are being based here in Midland at the CAF's main hangar for as long as the great folks at Lonestar need them here. Come out and take a look at 'em. We have a donation box set up for them as well, so any monetary help they can get would also be appreciated.
