I've just read the warning that was posted to the "WIXers" about all the fighting and arguing that is going on...
Very pathetic!!!
When I attend an airshow I'm there for my love of aviation, everyday I go to work I do my job for that same reason.
If I were to go to an airshow or work and heard needless and just really pointless talk, I might re-think going to that place again.
I haven't been a "WIX" member for only a couple of months, I have checked in for a couple of years and this has been a great aviation site to see the aviation side that I've had a great interest in since I was a kid.
To see a warning that members are using a site to "Bitcht and Moan", take it someplace else.
Let the true aviation guys talk our talk, and you guys take your' little squabble elsewhere...
That's just my oppinion and I'm sticking to it, Out Here Tom

I do find the arguing annoying too. If I spot it, I ignore it, but it doesn't belong on this website to begin with.

I really enjoy the mature dialogue that does often take place on WIX regarding contested topics. I have learned a lot from being a member of WIX and will continue to do so as long as civil conversation is maintained.

Cheers,

David

Is this a "Aviation/Warbird" site or what???

It's Scott and Ryan's foray into screening and identifying on-line aviation personalities for mental disabilities, psychological trauma and addiction.

As far as I can see, they have been highly successful unmaskng this demographic...

And soon they'll publish their study of the effects of WIX withdrawal, with hidden webcam photos of members taken during the last blackout.

No offense, and I respect your opinion, but I have to say, the WIX forum (like most forums really) is similar to an extended family - most of the time the posts are on topic, but like a family, occasionally squabbles break out about this, that, or the other. It happens on EVERY forum out there. Not one of them is immune to this type of thing. For every thread that gets out of control, there are still hundreds if not thousands that are on topic and provide useful information about Warbirds or the Warbirds community. But occasionally there's going to be a trainwreck of thread. It's inevitable. Remember, nobody forces you to read those posts when that happens.

Just MY opinion....

There are some that spread it from thread to thread, that just have to get their digs in every chance they get and don't just let it go and it gets old.

JetStarMech no matter are you right or not- we have to obey on what administrators of this site say. Very simple :!:

Just leave'em alone! All they wanted was to make you learn about airplanes and proper times to apply invasion stripes!

If you're looking for the perfect site in the perfect world it not's here so you'll have to keep looking.
The folks here are a cross between the Barones and the Bickersons.
If that doesn't work for ya there's nothing we can do.
If it gets to far out of hand, Scott and his crew will deal with the offenders with their own form
of gentle persuasion

Please once again lets remember what this forum is about, Aviation and Warbirds and those who have a passion for both.
I understand that we do not live in a perfect world, especially on the internet, some people will slip through and post on this and other sites.
They might be disgruntled for some reason or another and will bring this out on this forum and should be ignord.
I do not read alot of this in house bickering, it's pointless, the editors of this site do a great job of dealing with it.
I continue to log on this site for the great posts' that all the "WIXers" have to offer.
If a "D-Day" stripe wasn't right on one aircraft or another, who cares, is the aircraft flying, GREAT that's more important....
Out Here, Tom

People have differing opinions. When differing opinions come into contact with each other, there will always be conflict. Aviation fans aren't going to be any different in this regard, unfortunately. We're all human.

Trust me, though, compared to the other forums I belong to, this is nothing. So basically, you should have the Lake Wobegon attitude: it could be worse.
