Sgt. Mike,
Thank you for serving. That's an awesome way to finish! Congrats to you both. Now enjoy family life at home. What's the next airshow you're going to?

That is a very good question and one that I haven't given any thought to. Guess I need to start planning these things out. I guess I should have said, I need to de-conflict my schedule with the schedule she has for me!

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

It's official today was my first day as a military retiree, didn't feel any different than yesterday and they gave me that strange looking blue retiree ID card. Thanks for all the kind words and advice. Now it's time to enjoy aircraft and stay away from the Boss's (Wife) radar, or I'll end up as part of one of her landscaping projects.

I refer to my blue ID card as "my magic ID card". Because magically, every month, money shows up in my account. I did 22 years in Aerial Port myself. Welcome to the ranks of those who clog the aisles at the commissary every month.

Thank you for your service and both your, and your families sacrifices! As the spouse of of someone who has been in the Air Force for 33 years, (both active duty and Air National Guard) I know first hand what your family has had to deal with. I feel quite certain your "Boss" will be thrilled to have you around more!

Enjoy your retirement!

Best wishes,
Karen
