Friends I this post by Alan's wife Jen on their webpage and was inspired to take action which is a rare occurance for your's truly.
He had an unusual therapy workout today...Nintendo Wii. His therapist Danielle, whom Alan told the doctors today, is ruthless, took an ace bandage and tied the Wii controller to Alan's left arm and made him play tennis. At first he thought she was crazy. It made him try to pull up on his arm and move it across his chest as much as he can right now. It wore him out but he was smiling while doing therapy! We might have to find one of these systems when we got home! I wonder if we could convince Blue Cross that it is a needed therapy item!

I propose that the wixers put up the $$$ and buy Alan a Wii and a few accessories and have it ready for him when he's able to come home. We spend so much time fighting over data plates and paint jobs that I think we can spare a few minutes and help someone who's a true friend to the warbird/aviation community.
I have a paypal account and will be happy to be the treasurer for this. If you want to donate just got to http://www.paypal.com and use my email Ordy1Jack@msn.com has payee. I've priced what we would need plus shipping and we're looking at about $500. anything excess we can just to his general fund.
SO LETS GO :!: :!: :!: :!:

Count me in Jack. I will see what I can come up with. I have to check with my financial advisor (Wife). But we will get something coming. Alan is really working hard to get some mobility back. Lets throw some bucks in the kitty, & get going.

We should just continue and sent it to his foundation.
I'm sure they'll be able to put it to good use!!

This has actually become a recent and very popular form of physical therapy for many debilitating injuries and has been covered on major news such as CNN. And it has show positive results.

In fact, it's been given a clever name, Wiihab.

It's a very worthwhile cause to help Alan obtain this equipment.
