Man, I could do with another couple hunnerd of those sorta pix. Most excellent, Spooky -- THANKS!!

Anyone else thinking about posting a bunch of Osh pics, I for one would love to see 'em. And for whatever it's worth, I keep noticing that the "sorry-for-the-crappy-quality" pictures are often among the very best.

the longitudinal stripes down the belly

The straps for the canopy cover are quite evident, but what are those perpendicular lines ? stains ?

Duh...me stoopid :ouch:

I'm thinking it's maybe the shadows from the snow fence but I can't figure out how it projected itself on there like that.

As Al said, I think they are shadows from the snow fence that blocks off that area of Warbirds - you can see them on the T-28 behind the Avenger.

I like these weird non important questions

But let's say they where shadows from a light source behind the snow fence....would you not have shadows all along the plane ???? But why just under the fuse & so symmetrical & so perfectly aligned with the plane. If it was a fence shadow / reflection; would we not see the same thing under the wings also ????

In any case a weird effect & a wonderfull pic :))

Just curious.

Wowwww, shadow night gremlins at work HEHE....

The snow fence makes sense. The pitch seems correct at least. Must be a phenomenon from the time exposure that you probably wouldn't pick up with the nekked eye. What was the shutter speed?

They are under the wings also. It's just that they are not as clearly illuminated. The top of the show fence is also fairly far back on the wing, due to the angle of incidence of the aircraft on the ground. You can also see them on the right landing gear door, but they are skewed because of the angle.

Pretty amazing that a lone B-25 could create that much carnage

Thanks, guys. If you take a few hundred, several are bound to be OK - blind squirrel thing, you know? :)

Here's a few others - sorry if there are similar ones out there I missed.

Something about spookythecat's pix keeps me from seeing them here at work - finally got to see them on the home PC last night. Great composition!
