Capt Chet Trout OPS officer 27th FS leads his flight over Italy in 1945.
Chet and his wingman Ed Brinkley were shot down and KIA by flak
near Passau, Germany in April 1945.

BTW Trout was awarded the DSC for defending Port Moresby alone with his wingman who was killed against 36 Japanese a/c in July 1942 while flying a P-400.
