Be sure that you eat at McGuires, interesting decor and pretty good food.

Do they still make thier own beer there? It was 11 years ago sense I ate and drank there but I remember the beer to be pretty good. The food was also good (Pub fair)

There are a number of former WWII navy airfields (abandoned) in the Pensacola area which are interesting. Check out Freeman's site at www.airfields-freeman.com

Also, if not time is not a constraint the US Army aviation museum at Ft. Rucker, AL is a possibility.

There is a musem at Eglin AFB. I believe it is called the USAF Armaments Museum ..or something like that. They have a numer of A/C on display: B-17, et.al. Do an Internet search.

McGuires is a legend man. Be sure to see Hurlbert Field as well as Eglin. Both have some aircraft on static. The NMNA is friggin' sweet.

If you get the chance to hop over to I-70, don't miss the Robins AFB Museum.

2 days at the Air Museum, one at the BB Alabama, Fort Gaines and Morgan. These folks have a lot of things of see down here. Almost no one here, the hurricanes, high gas costs and being the end of summer have made it very easy to get around. Over to Eglin today...more pics later
