Not only do I hope the new owners change the instrument panel I hope they change the paint to something more accurate :!: 8) 8) :!: :!:

If you get a letter of wiaver (or exemption/exception depending on how you word it) from the FAA, you can do it.

One of the few things I've always liked about the FAA - just about everything is waiverable or ammendable. But the other edge of the sword is that while you may be able to do it, if you do something to jeapordize that wiaver/ammendment expect to get it pulled real quick, and if you (God Forbid) get in an accident that is traceable back to that letter, then expect to not have a license or any money when it's over.


Well, they won't issue a waiver for selling rides in ANY foreign built experimental aircraft. We've been begging for them for years with the JU-52, Harvards, Sea Fury, etc. So, although it's great that they give waivers for most experimental types, it's the foreign built thing that they won't budge on.

Agreed. I don't have any issue with the CF and them selling rides in the 262s. I was just making a comment on how frustrating it is that even though a particular aircraft (JU-52, Harvard, Sea Fury, etc.) is built in a factory, by professionals, that it can't get a waiver to sell rides ONLY because it's foreign built. :roll:

First White 1 is a recreation of a ME262 B-1A and they were trainers no home defence bands and no chevrons and the Germans did not put their names or ranks on their aircraft, I understand that it is not my airplane and the owner can paint it as he desires.......and we have been there before here on WIX :roll:

This is the front panel out of #3 it is very close to how some ME262's panels were.

And this is TANGO TANO it was painted IAW an original paint "drawing" this in my opinion is very close to how an ME262 shpuld look.

Both panels hand built by 262crew! :D :D :D :D :D (proud dad moment!)

Those of you who claim ' I knew about this a year ago..' were ASSUMING that CF was in line for #3 not White 1. #3 is still in the hanger being slowly finished, bring around $2.5 mill and you can get the seat fitted to your fanny. :P :P

The original owner had his own ideas about markings, colors, equipment and nav systems and most of it belongs in a museum next to the NARCO two crystal display radios. (who remembers Nancy Narco?) :?:

The reason that you cannot sell rides in a British built fighter or German pre war transport can be very easily rectified just as soon as you can show, by documentation, that the airframe was designed, assembled, tested, and certified under US ATC criteria, prove that you posess a valid US ATC certificate, and the blue blazer crowd will be most happy to let you sell rides in your foreign designed and built airframe. :lol: :lol:


The spot where the two exfedex (say that fast five times) 27's are in the last photo is now the place where John Sessions' new 'geezit!!!' hanger is going up, the 27's are long off to the beer can factory, fedex'donated' them to the airport and EVCC when the cost of completing D checks exceeded the value that could be wrung out of them after the checks, fedex does this a lot (or did) with clapped out worn out old 27's. the airport kept one for the Counties annual disaster drills for fire and rescue squads (beats the old wrecked 60 ft. articulated bus they used to use)they had BADWRENCH saw the wings off before BADWRENCH gave up on a 20+ year continuing effort to ruin what used to be a pretty nice little MRO and did a Nixon and left early :wink:
