Well guys I did not know where else to post this, but I'll ask anyway. My dream corporate aviation job has come to an end. The 5 years I had were awesome, it seems that the economy has forced my employer to shut down the flight department, so if any of you know of any mechanic wrench bender jobs :D please let me know. I’m dreading this whole mess as I have not even been in my new house a year  , and there are absolutely no other aviation jobs in my area that will sustain me staying there. So I’m on the move, and if you hear of anything please drop me a line. (mscottminshall@hotmail.com) Thanks guys.

Sorry to hear this RNDMTR, I don't remember your experience, but did you notice Chuck Gardner
posted an open mechanic position over in the Maintenance Hangar?
Good luck, Sir!

I guess I need to get out more often or fly something built after 1945 once in a while. When did that happen? I guess my drift away from the news on modern GA a/c is more complete than I thought.

If you didn't mind working on Spam Cans, I'd tell you to apply at the shop I work at. Unfortunately times are tough here as well.

There’s probably 10 temp employment companies on the internet that place mechanics within the USA and overseas with the US govt.

Anywhere from $12 - $38/hr and many add per diems (non taxable) up to $800/week. Hundreds of jobs, and the corporate mechanic ones pay pretty well. A Gulfstream mech can pull in $75k easily. A lot of these companies are looking for permanent mechanics, and use the temp agency as a way to evaluate a mech before making a firm job offer.

Overseas jobs, and ones requiring a security clearance can pull in $100k easily and much of that is not taxable. :D

Post your resume on Monster, Aerotek and other staffing websites. They'll call or email you, it can get annoying! The work is out there if you are willing to relocate. Good luck!

There are at least 2 A&P positions listed in trade-a-plane. Neither of them are in your area, but both are war bird related.

I have an opening for a mechanic/restoration tech at our shop in Stockton, CA. We work mostly on Beech 18's and other Warbirds too.

Check out the web site below to see what we are up to. Send me a resume if you want to work in Northern California.

We brought her from: Image to this in 3 months: Image Help us get her all the way back Image

All donations are tax deductible as the Stockton Field Aviation Museum is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Tell a friend as the Harpoon needs all the help she can get.

Thank you!

Taigh, I wish you were not on the west coast.
