Martin AM-1 Mauler. It was once part of the New England Air Museum Collection and we decided to sell it back in the mid nineties. Nice to see it assembled and on display, though I'm sure it's more cosmetic than a flier.

Western Canada Aviation Museum has one they've been restoring for ages now. I would
think it should be nearing completion. I didn't see any recent news on their website.

There is only one REAL Mustang - the one that is polished aluminum in the background. That black thing is an eyesore to the rest of the collection.

Great pictures! It is fantastic to see the "Goose" again. Last time I saw her she was still in Long Beach under the dome!

You're so far off you wouldn't have scored with a hand grenade. Of all the possible cars you could have chosen, a Civic? Man, that's weak. You can do better than that. And I thought you were a friendly guy, what with answering my NMoUSAF questions and all. Guess I was wrong.

And JB, my point exactly. Thanks

I'll bet the backstory on that '70 351 MACH 1 is that it probably belonged to Dels son for whom the museum is named and dedicated, he was quite an amateur road racer and died when he misplaced the road at an excessive rate of knots in his Nazi slot car...er...Porche 911

We have plenty of those out here. I call them "Autopia" cars, they sound just like the ones at Disneyland.

I just think it is funny when a Sunfire pulls up to me at the light and I am in my Mustang or the General Lee, and wants to race.

This is the last thing they ever see.

Not true. Mike wasn't driving. His younger brother Mark was (he was the Indy racer). Mike & Rhory Draeger another OR ANG F-15 pilot were along for the ride (Draeger had 2 kills in Desert Storm) were killed and Mark didn't get a scratch. Booze, darkness, rain and speed caused this.
I'm not sure if this was Mike's car or not but I only ever saw him driving his Bronco.

"Just the good ol' boys
Never meaning no harm
Beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law
Since the day they was born

Straightening the curves, flattening the hills
Someday the mountain might get 'em
But the law never will

Chorus
Making their way, any way they know how
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow

Just the good ol' boys
Wouldn't change if they could
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood"

RIP Waylon
