This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I doubt there will be much, and why should there be? It seems to be a situation that has reached a resolution, and I assume no further action will be taken.

I hope that everyone can move on with their lives. That's more important than some "alleged breech of security" by someone who puts their life on the line every day to entertain hundreds of thousands per year.

It's the first year I didn't spend time at the Ultralights, maybe it was karma that I didn't. :)
Sorry I didn't see you to say hi, Bill. Best to you on the Spit repair.

I could write about being a CAP cadet in NJ in the mid-80's but Randy already said it all ... are you sure we weren't in the same squadron?

The last thing you said is probably correct but has for the former...........
probably not a good topic for the forum. :?

Yikes! I wonder who they were? I guess possibly Travolta's.

Well, I'm glad at least the rumors of pays-offs are false!
Also I think that everyone who was so quick to condemn the
security guys involved owes them a apology

Sorry, but I am not a fan of The Patty Wagstaff Show, after seeing firsthand how she treated a lot of the folks at aerobatic competitions back in the day (i.e, the way she treated people that treated her like a peer, not the ones who treated her like their queen).

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone's got one. You know, that Joe Montana, he wasn't that good, and that Pappy Boyington, never cared for the language he used. Blah, blah, blah.

Jack, I think you mis -interpreted the banter about the security guys, at least I was (don't know about anyone else but I suspect they were too)having fun jabbing them for being the protoypical 'once a year local gods of keeping the world on an even keel' and of the typical microscopic authority that those types try to inflate into some sort of really critical position, and usually have their buddies take lots of pictures of them standing by 'Jock Neversweats airplane that I personally protected' for their 'I love me' wall in the den.

They fit right into the scenario of the 23 year old hot shot who gets appointed Leadman and makes life truly miserable for all the older, more experienced hands who know why they don't want that job, and have to suffer the unbelievable little p&ick until the right someone comes along at exactly the correct moment and lets the air out his scrotum and takes the pressure off his tiny brain.

Those types never change and we've all dealt with their brothers in the past, but now we know that the CAP kids can look forward to a career of being obnoxious, over officious, pompus, TSA gropers instead of having to settle for being Security Guards at the local canned bean warehouse.

You need to get outside and walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes every day-

Here they are called the Air Training Corps (Cadets??) and from my experience while in them many moons ago was it focused on more "who" you know not "what".If your out of the circle then you didn,t go anywhere.

"Patty ended up in a location she shouldn't have been," Knapinski said.

I would say behind the wheel of a car is a place she shouldn't have been, after a few drinks...
