Notice that Sugar has the old-style framed top turret dome and no cheek gun armor plate/enlarged windows on either side of the nose. In that last photo of the mechanics working on her, it would seem they are stripping the goodies out of the airplane rather than repairing her.

Spanner, why don't we have a Caterpillar like that? :D

How did I get there...lessee...I've slept at least twice since then, so..... :wink:

Actually, I did an Image search instead of a Web search using "WWII aircraft recovery crane" as the key phrase, and picked the best pic! (click on the selected pic, then click on "See full-size image" - avoids the .pdf stuff)
