Wow, where in the world did they get a Mig-29? Is that a real one or a mock up? I didn't think any Mig-29's were in private or non-military affiliated museums.

There's another Mig-29 in private ownership in the PNW. Expect to hear of developments regarding it in the near? future

Hey man, great stuff! Are you guys still thinking of making a big trip up there again sometime this winter to see the Seattle stuff?

Saw SuSu over at IWA today - Nazy must have gotten a hankering to fly her. When you back in town?

interesting to see the resident P-51 has changed colors again.... used to be in a 364th FG scheme, then OR ANG, and now 55th FG... although the nose-colors still are 364th FG....

@ Scott - this ship is missing a photo in the registry yet...

The Tillamook a/c are looking a tad uncared for. But, they've always looked a bit that way.

Maybe more than one, it would seem as these guys supposedly have one in the air right now: http://www.redair.net/mig29.html
I'd never heard of them before now, though.
When I worked for the DoD before going into the Army, I rode on plenty of MIGs and Soviet-block helicopters and got paid for my troubles! Man, how I miss those days now...

Don't forget the 123rd FS OR ANG Red Hawk on the 51's tail
The CL+X is for Stan Richardson 55th FG P-38J. I don't believe he flew 51s with the 55th FG has he left in early Aug 44. He was really campaigning to get the 38 repainted in his markings.

The scale of the hanger @ Tillamook is something that needs to be experienced. Photos really can't convey the sense that someone has brought his 1/72nd model aircraft collection out and placed it on the floor in a three car garage, when Erciksons Guppy is inside even it is dwarfed by the place. Don't know if they still have it on the wall, but they had a WW2 photo of one of the hangers (there were two until one full of hay burned to the cement piers years ago) with 5 Navy blimps inside-impressive!!

OK, I guess I'm half retard, or 1 to many beers into the afternoon, but, what is this?

I was thinking the same thing! If this place was close to me I would volunteer to at least oil the guns on that turret!

Everytime I've been there the a/c were filthy, covered with bird cr*p and showing lots of corrosion.
Very bad place to put rare flying warbirds!!

Is that Bellanca the only one? I have never seen even pictures of any other survivors.
