On the 3 turbine conversion 17's, there 4 additional longerons to support the turbine - and they're not steel.
From aft of the radio room, Liberty Belle is the Curtiss Wright airplane. The former CW airplane lost directional control and burned at Bear Pen while operating as an airtanker. The aft fuselage remained usable.
The remainder of Liberty Belle is the P&W airplane, and it sports that data plate. Tom Reilly determined the 2 fuselage portions mated perfectly after discovering the additional 4 longerons that were present in both airframes.
I dont recall anyone ever determining what became of the Allison B-17.
