Wow, I didn't know the Christian Eagle was used in military service. Does anyone know how many planes it shot down? Did they put any D-Day invasion stripes on it? Was it an infamous "Blue-noser"? I'll bet they put a Malcolm Hood on it, too!
Was this a dataplate rebuild? I've heard the original crashed in pieces during the war. How many other wartime Eagles were used to build this one? Is it's provenance authentic?
So many questions on this historic warbird!

Well its quite obvious that the Eagle has experienced battle damage with the tail surfaces and engine cowling removed for repair...
The next picture was taken through the fence at Barksdale AFB back in the late 90's. The white aircraft in the middle, nearly obscured by the fence wire. F-5, T-38?

It's no doubt whatsoever, that it's a T-38. There has never been a USAF F-5 that was painted white, AFAIK! The Talon is assigned to one of the Undergraduate Pilot Training bases.
