Okay, i'm clean and i've got pictures. I have a feeling there's gonna be some backlash with the CAF logo plastered all over their planes now. It surprised me at first and I was annoyed for about five minutes and then that was it. They are their airplanes and they can put what they want, where they want on them. The important part is they're in the air and coming to places where I can see them.

Woo Hooo!! I'm finally on WIX, turns out Firefox doesnt really work for this website with logging on for some reason, I'm absolutely pumped to be on this website and I've been reading all the different posts for quite sometime and you all seem to have an amazing thing going here.

Anyways why I'm posting is, everyone needs to check out "Impatient Virgin". Absolutely remarkable and the attention to detail is amazing!!! Just thought I'd share that with you all.

It's great to be here!

Nice shots guys. Congrats on getting published, Al. If anyone gets by the Courtesy Aircraft motorhome, I have about 6 photos that are part of their display. I have 2 on the T-28 profile, three on the T-6 profile and one on the PT-17 profile.

Great photo's and cool PS of the T-28. Do you have a full frame of the Rebel by chance?

Not yet. I've never been terribly excited about taking shots with canopy covers on. I'll try and make a point of it though. As for the T-28, it's not PS but one of the features on my camera where I can sample a color which will be the only one to stand out. It's kinda neat and was an experiment gone well. :)

Roger that and thanks. It looks great. remember, bob and weave with the skeeters...

Spookythecat ....you are not the only one to be annoyed by the CAF logos plastered all over the planes. I know several members are annoyed also, but we have no say in what goes on. Wait till you see a six foot long logo plastered on the side of an L-3, looks great! I think Budwiser is getting their logo painted on the side of Memphis Belle, nothing like taking care of our artifacts.

I'm curious in regards "Impatient Virgin". I Wonder why they chose to go with silver paint instead of natural metal. I'm also curious why they went with a D-Day scheme for a bird with a fin fillet and obviously on D-Day not using a Malcom Hood.

The restoration/re-creation work looks fantastic, but somehow the paint scheme work, detracts from it, in my opinion.

And yes I know, it's not my money, my P51B (wish it was) and I understand ease of maint etc.

It just seems too bad they went so far and then stopped. Thinking Ina the Macon Belle, Princess Elizabeth as examples of taking it all the way.

Within this short EAA video there is a nice bit of footage of P-51D "Happy Jack's Go Buggy," complete with all of the final additions it looks like.

I am very much looking forward to those photos, Dan! I hope to some how get some detailed photos of the Malcolm hood assemblies, as I am working on trying to reconstruct the entire thing on the computer.
