f-22 raptor question???

Yes, it has a M61A2. It's located in the right wingroot located similar in location to where it is on the F-15s. The muzzle is covered by a door and the gas exhaust vanes are simply hinged panels.

If you ever watch the Military Channel they have footage of a firing test while in a high bank turn on one of their station promotions.

Okay, this is the best image I've been able to find.

If you look to the right of the letter "J", you will see a dark spot. That is the gas vent for the M61A2. Moving forward, you will see a darkened wedge-shaped panel. This is the muzzle door (I think). The door opens down to clear the firing barrel (which is in the 12-o'clock position on this aircraft).

You can see it somewhat on this picture as well -

f-22 raptor question???

I assume that what looks like a dark gray Stop sign just inboard of the right wing root in this picture is the door for the gun gas exhaust. If that's correct, the gun installation can be seen forward of it.I don't claim to be an expert on F-22's,but my brother works with them at Edwards.

Russ you need one of those twentys for your T-28. Not historically accurate, but who cares its wicked looking. You want me to put in for one for you (non innert of course)? License should be no problem.
