Midwest Texans' SR#3 Restoration: Exclusive Air-To-Air!!!

Thu Jul 24, 2008 7:21 pm

Midwest Texans recently rolled out their newest Signature Restoration. The '6 belongs to Nathan Davis, owner of the Checkertail P-51. He decided to paint the airplane as a fictional "Hack" aircraft for the 325th Fighter Group. I don't want to hear you picky fellas complain, this scheme is pretty tastefull!

Enough blabbering...

Fellow WIXer Tim Savage was the man performing aviation-related stunts, such as take-off, formation, and landing.

Hi Steve:

That mask comes with the new Campbell Aero Classic helmet. It isn't an O-2 mask, it is just holds the mike. Breathing hasn't been a problem so far :) It also came with a boom mike...but I kinda like the looks of it.

Hi Scott-

Yes, we are deep into the airplanes from Wyoming. Nine of the fifteen we are building right now came from Casper. Seven of the fifteen already have hydraulic consoles, rudder pedals, floor boards etc done. Now they are being wired and having all the electric boxes installed.

Thanks for your kind words. We are trying hard to extend the life of the airplane. We are learning new things all the time and the airplanes keep getting better and better.

I flew this airplane to OSH today along with our #2 airplane. Beautiful flight up the Chicago skyline!
