I finally found some of my photos that are boxed up from moving.
Here is a shot of Jim Mott's N878M Race #42 Super Chief taxiing at Chino around 1997 or so. I never saw this plane fly but did see it taxi several times.

No, it was a Bristol Centaurus. I believe it was the higher HP version out of a transport, maybe a Beverly?

That's correct. Remember standing near the tower at Chino when Jim came by for a pass. I like Centaurus engines, but none has sounded as good as this one did. Just awesome.
