About the only thing soaring today was the temps, well into the 90s. Let hope it cools down for the weekend. Other then engine work on the “Movie Belle” things were quiet when we arrived at 3pm. It was great to see Spooky for the first time. Nice looking machine. There was also a sweet looking Stearman 4CM-1 in the hangar.

Looks like tomorrow will be quiet at the field so I think we will take in the George Eastman House in Rochester and maybe do some shopping. Wednesday there is a scheduled 90th Anniversary Air Mail reenactment and I know my buddies from the Great War Flying Museum are scheduled in as well as Carol Pilon and her Stearman.

Eric,
The Stearman looked better in the air on Saturday, thanks to Freddy Cabanas!

Nice shots Rich, really makes me wish I could have been there on the weekend. A family event kept us away on the weekend. Hope to see you during the show.

Cheers,

Eric

Eric,

I had heard that you have to get to Geneseo early to get a good seat for the show, but I thought that meant early in the day, not early in the week! Save me a good spot, willya? :)

Nice pics.

Staking out my spot now  We took a week holiday to sit back and enjoy Geneseo. The town is so intriguing we thought we would spend a few extra days here. As well, the field is a nice laid back place to be before the show. We arrived Wednesday last year and had so much fun before the stampede hit on the weekend. No place on earth like Geneseo.

The fiberglass Hellcat used to sit outside one of Mr. Tallichet's restaurants.
Plans are to put it on a pole somewhere by the museum. 8)

Its plastic from one of Tallichets restaurants. The plan is to mount it near Big Tree Lane.

Tuesday was fairly quiet but we did see two Pitcarin Mailwings arrive along with three Stearmans.

Wednesday’s reenactment of the mail run and photoshoot were scrubbed because of showers moving through the area. We did get in the pilots being sworn in from the US Postal Service. Hopefully we will get the mail runs in to Rochester. Niagara Falls and Buffalo tomorrow as well as the photoshoot.
