In the Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie's featured film (This Island Earth) the main character (Cal, played by Rex Reason), flies what appears to my less trained eye to be a T-33.

Now in the movie the T-33 begins to glow green due to the action of mysterious forces. What I am wondering is does the T-33 still exist, and if it does, is it still afflicted with what the cast of MST3k termed "A fresh minty aroma?"

Unfortunately, it was destroyed.

The latest report available, indicates that mysterious forces caused the destruction, and there are unconfirmed reports of witnesses who say that a green glow may have had something to do with it.

More information, as it becomes available.

Saludos,

Tulio

Check out MST's version of King Dinosaur - some of the early stock footage is a drop test of a B-32! (the number one nacelle snaps off...)

I believe that T-33 was later pressed into service spraying chemtrails when the program was being developed in the early '60s.

Now where's my tinfoil hat?...

well, according to my sources (i just watched the minty fresh sequence) the aircraft is 52-9546.

I wonder how many T-33's are still equipped with that "green switch." Sure would be handy in the event of an engine failure.

TOM SERVO, TO THE RESCUE!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny aside to this. My boys were members of a band here in Milwaukee that called themselves "the Tom Servos". They were contacted by the production company and told in no uncertain terms to "drop" the name, immediately or face litigation.

They reluctantly changed the name to "the Servos". :?
