This month includes:
1. Bill "Tiger" Destefani's highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang racer "Strega", being flown by Steven "Stevo" Hinton, at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA. This, along with many other extraordinary pictures, will be included in the upcoming book "Maximum Performance - The History of the P-51 Racing Mustang."
2. Steve Craig's N.A. P-51D Mustang (CA-18 Mk.21) "Flying Dutchman", being flown by Mark Watt, at the 2007 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
3. Dan Vance flying the Sanders family's Hawker Sea Fury T.20 "Dreadnought", with Daryl Bond in the back seat, climbing out from Eagles Nest airport at Ione, CA enroute to the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
4. Rick Sharpe flying his Douglas AD-4NA Skyraider "Marlene - Uncle Ho's Nightmare" over the Texas oil fields at the 2007 FINA-CAF Airshow in Midland, TX. This year's event will be held on September 20 - 21, 2008.
5. The Silver Wings Wingwalking Team's Boeing Stearman, flown by Hartley Folstad, performs a patriotic flypast at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA with wingwalker Margaret Stivers saluting the crowd from on top of the wing.
6. Chuck Wentworth flying his beautiful Goodyear FG-1D Corsair during the 2008 Minter Field Airshow in Bakersfield, CA as seen from Eric Presten's Piper Clipper.
7. Maurice Hammond's N.A. P-51D Mustang "Janie" and Rob Davies N.A. P-51D Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll" at the 2002 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, U.K. This year's event will be held on July 12 - 13, 2008.
8. Bob Wagner circling the United States Flag, being flown by The Liberty Parachute Team, in his 1929 Waco Model CTO Taperwing during the opening ceremonies at EAA AirVenture 2007. This year's event will be held from July 28 - August 3, 2008.
9. Tom Freidkin's rare Vickers Supermarine Spitfire F Mk. XIVc SM832, being flown by John Maloney, at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.
10. A 173rd Fighter Wing F-15D "Eagle" from Kingsley Field Oregon performs at the 2007 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV. This year's Air Races and Airshow will be held on September 10 - 14, 2008.
11. An Air Canada A330-300 on final for runway 24R at Toronto's LBPIA.
12. Paul Draper's magnificent Stinson L-5E Sentinel "Gracie" taxiing at the 2006 Thunder Over Michigan Airshow in Yipsilanti, MI. This year's event will be held on August 9 - 10, 2008.
