P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

HELLCAT,
Your opinions and inputs are always most welcome here and I take no personal offense to anything said by anyone, as Jack Cook said, its all part of the rough and tumble of avation and since we're all sort of brothers, you might as well get in the pig pile too!!!

P.S. pleas see my PM in reply to you 8)

Moriarty couldn't have been too negative if he became the Captain of the "Love Boat."

There is a lot of negativity, ego-based, nonsense, and non-warbird-related stuff that is posted here. It is easy to ignore. If you can't ignore it, post some further negative, ego-based, nonsensical responses, and perhaps you will feel better. If that doesn't work to salve your conscience, it will burn holes in your soul until you get caught and convicted of whatever you are guilty of, and then prison won't be so bad- it will be a cooling off period for your tortured persona.

Always look on the bright side of life, I say...

I can't speak to the thread history on WIX, but, because I put my two cents in on the "shade of blue" thread, I'm choosing to comment on this one.

There may be other threads worth saying "chill out" over, but the question of the blue paint just doesn't warrant it. For anyone who feels so strongly on this issue, take the time to re-read all the posts on that thread. The guys who questioned the paint, including me, complimeted the airplane and posed a question.

The fuss was not caused by us asking the question, it seemed to be the subsequent outcry of those trying to "stick up for" the owner/operator of the Mustang. Although I don't think I'd said anything wrong, I thought it was appropriate to respond on that thread to make clear my question was historical, not acusatory.

If someone had simply responded and said (for example) "That serial Mustang was built in Dallas and would have received its markings in Insignia Blue, FS 12345 and the owner chose to restore the airplane with Imron Blue 321" then that would have been the end of it for me. Instead, as we know, it degraded from there.

To see the embers continuing to be stirred on this is a real disappointment.

Ken
