Another great issue Tim! I especially enjoyed reading the story penned by Scott Thompson all about the B-17's operated as aerial sprayers in Alabama by Donthan Aviation in the 60's and 70's. Great work Scott!

You mean, like this one?

That's Chuckie having a bad day (I was told this "event" was caused by the landing gear retracting while the crew was running up the engines).

Fortunately, she receives a lot better treatment these days! :D

Cheers! (and Happy Father's Day to all of you Dads out there!)

Dean, was that pre- or post- removal from Dothan by Doc? I was thinking pre-, but I didn't think she was yeller' back then.

This is definitely Pre leaving Wheelless Aviation. I know, I've seen the pictures before

A good issue...for the most part, but why is that very boring CAF publicity release in the magazine? I was disappointed to see it as it is not an article that would be expected in a magazine of this caliber. Don't take this wrong I am not anti CAF, but expect to read great articles like Scott's or the Navy Flight or the Spitfire. When the magazine starts to publish publicity releases written by an organization, instead of articles on warbirds restorations and personalities they are losing my interest. Nobody's ever heard of the CAF???
