So long and a sad goodbye to the RAAF's final Boeing 707 Cargo - Tanker aircraft...

Fini flight scheduled for Monday 30th June, last flight ever in RAAF colours.

I would have to say they are hose and drogue refueling pods to refuel their F/A-18's. The U.S. Air Force uses some pods but mainly overseas.

Very nice photo... you can practically hear the roar. Something didn't seem quite right at first, then I realized I had got used to seeing the big-engine variant of the KC-135.

Is that John Travolta flying that 707?

OOOpps, sorry, wrong Aussie 707.

Nice post Sabredriver/HGUCSU/Wixlova/Wxlova! See, now that wasn't so hard was it? Appropriately titled with something other than just a link. That is the standard to which you should adhere for all of your posts from now on.

Nice post.

I think that you will find that WIXLOVA & WXLOVA are 2 separate entities.
Pretty sure that WX also posts on warbirdz under another name.
