Time consuming but ater 2mins you see the crash of century!!! Watch the B-2 overrotate and then slam into ground ... see the ejection seats work!!

Amazing but highly low quality footage and ONLY footage sadly of the crash i suspect as not everyone would be filiming every time a plane takes off.

and the other video

The USAF really needs to stop using preschoolers to run their video equipment.

It's likely a mounted camera controlled via a joystick so, why don't you go a little easier on our nations warriors, hmm?

I bet the joystick controller was by microsoft, I bet it was the same software version that was used in the B-2.

Freaking computers....

When is the last time a B-17 or B-52 had an "uncommanded 30 degree pitch-up" on takeoff!

I'm sure glad the had ejection seats and used them to escape that 1.5 Billion dollar death trap.

Ok, both videos were really well done...certainly wouldn't want to hurt any warriors' feelings.

I still think my 5-year-old shoots better video.

You'd think for $1.5Billion someone could design a waterproof sensor that knew which way is up... Doubtful they would have come across that design fault in Palmdale tho, which has the humidity of a popcorn fart...

I'd be more concerned with the guys who load nukes on B-52's without knowing it and ship nuke fuses to Taiwan instead of chopper parts by mistake. At least some heads finally rolled over those incidents.

Interesting video tho.

It's not whether or not it's waterproof that's the problem. Static ports and pitot tubes have to be open to get the air in & past them to read the data. Because of this, you can get water buildup in and around the ports that will throw off the readings they produce. The trick is getting them to drain properly, which can be a problem as you have to find a solution that will drain right but won't cause other problems (like giving inconsistent readings). This kind of problem is present even in airliners to some extent, the difference is that the computers aren't the only method of control for the aircraft and their purpose means that more extensive measures can be taken as issues like low-observability aren't a problem.

The "security camera" video is from a CCTV system that the cops use to keep surveilance on the airfield. The users of that system (probably some NCO sitting in the Command Post) were probably watching the takeoffs because it was interesting, not to document it for some historical purpose.

The hand-held video was clearly just someone out there filming the departures for their own purposes.

Seriously?

One crash in 15 years and it's a "death trap"?

Please...

So, the 15 other officers who were fired previously don't coun't as "heads rolling"?

Besides, if you think that the resignations from the SECAF and CSAF had exclusively to do with the Minot and Taiwan incidents, you're missing a much bigger conflict at hand between the USAF and the DoD leadership.

My bad you are correct about the 15 others. I would like to hear more about the conflict you mention above if you are at liberty to expound on that.

Thanks for your input.
