Something I just thought of from the pics...

On civilian p38's without the turbos, what is the duct arrangement? If there are no turbos, there is no need for intercoolers, so do they just blow thru, are they used as extra radiators,.....just curious?

An amazing and gorgeous airplane.

Was it running hot, or did they just do a manual wide-open setting of the radiators during the initial flights?

I don't know what the engine temps were...but it is hot as %^& ! I know we have been over 100 for the past five days, and we are not far from Ezell's.
