No, but take lots of pictures for us and post them here. Also, get all the latest info on restorations, what's flying, etc.

Anyone know the status of their B-17E? Is restoration still taking place on it?

I'm trying to find someone who will spring me from work at the Olympia airport and fly me up to Everett for the opening.

Anyone....

A couple of us from the HFM will be heading down for a pre-opening tour on the 4th. And the HFM Mustang MAY be in the Paine area doing a little formation work with He11-er-Bust that day, weather permitting...

Curtis, you mean that you don't have a test hop scheduled around 1 P.M. on Friday? what kinda aviation place are you runnin'? :?

As far as anyone outside of the inner sanctum knows, the B-17E is still resting comfortably in the hanger @ Arlington. :(

I'll be pretty easy to spot since the weather is going to be P/C and possible showers, I'll be in my AIR APACHES leather coat and wearing my WRIGHT ENGINES ballcap

I'm sure I could fly something up there, from my place of work....so long as the Fed doesn't ask to see my licence.

I thought that was the P-47 being shown having nose art put on it in the background on Evening Magazine tonight. I'm glad it's finally got some markings on it. I dug up this link on flickr of the pre-nose art paint.

Just got back from Flying Heritage at Paine. You guys are going to enjoy your visits :D

Nice hanger with a bunch of nice airplanes, and no highly polished examples in sight which ought to please the purists

And yes, the Thunderbolt now has some paint and nose art, looks great.

The only downer for me is that they have no plans to ever fly or even run the long-nose FW

Hal
If I had known that was you this afternoon I would have said something. Glad you enjoyed the planes. I was the chubby docent feeding my face by the Zero.
