what aircraft type would you like to be replicated

after reading the 262 thread there seems to be an intrest in the possibiltyof reproduction aircraft to continue warbird operations in the future(fuel prices withstanding).
this was done on the flypast site a while ago bt i dont know if it has been done here f it has i apoligise for bringing it back up.
so what extinct or neart extinct aircraft type would you lie to see back in the air.

Besides all of the normal axis aircraft, I would REALLY like to see a limited production run of TBD Devastators. How hard could it be to make, it's a simple 1930's design airframe. The hardest part is getting one to make patterns off of. It will never happen as long as the Naval Historical Center has anything to say about it.

Does anyone know if the blueprints are still in existence?

If cost/difficulty isn't an option, I'd love to see a Martin Maryland or Baltimore. Or any Axis bomber..seems like there have been enough partial wrecks rcovereed to a build a composite/reproduction Ju-88. A "Betty," "Sally," or "Nell" would also be cool. Heck, I'd be thrilled just to see any of those restored as static museum aircraft.

Yeah I would also LOVE to see a Devastator. Its my favorite Navy bomber and the thought that we COULD see one right now upsets me......Im sure you all know what I mean.

How about the SBD Dauntless? There's essentially none available for private purchase, but there's plenty of them out there to draw patterns from (Navy loaners). Plus it's a relatively docile type to operate as I understand it. Straight forward design and plenty of engines around.

Other than that, how about the Ryan STM? C'mon, you know it's pretty.

This is a relatively simple aircraft, very basic airframe, and a number of engines can be used instead of a Menasco, such as a Cirrus, or a LOM.
Lets hope someone tools up and produces this aircraft.

I love the idea of a Ki-46 Dinah. However, as a more realistic choice I've always thought the Fiat G.50 had potential. A simple design with good proportions that could be powered by an available American radial.

The Ryan is an easy one. A full set of plans are available from Ed Cass...something. Last time I looked, there were about $800 for a set. Ed's version uses a LOM engine if I remember correctly. An STM-S2 with the Menasco would be pretty cool too.
