Couple pics from McGuire AFB Air Expo today.
Will work on more for later.

I liked this tribute by Ohio ANG to 357th FG, right down to the invasion
stripes.

Thunderbird, old school.

Somebody wanted to see more original nose art.

Wow, cool C-130 picture! Notice they even have the old USAAC insignia (pre-1947) without the red stripe! I've never seen that before on a current military aircraft!

It seems odd that a C-130 outfit would pay tribute to a fighter unit. Is that 130 unit desended from the 357th? Is that the connection there?

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

Nice. Is that 130 the same one that was the formation aircraft for the mass Mustang flyover at GML last year?

Great Shots Bill!
thanks for posting them.
Did you see "Spooky" while you were there?
Any other pics of the C-130?
Man is that cool!

That was a Rhode Island ANG C-130J.

The 164th was one of the units lost during the last BRAC, not sure when they will be done. The 162nd FS (another 357th FG decendent) flying F-16C will loose the last of their planes in 2010.

Wings Over Akron list a 164th AS C-130, anyone know if it will be the same one?

Mike
