Readington NJ, Solberg airport.

Anyone going? Or know what will be attending?

This is the first I've heard of it. I'll be there to check it out. :)

Pictures added below :)

Here are the pics. This was their first Warbird fly-in it looks like they are off to a good start. I hope they make it an annual event...cause its only 20 minutes away

Actually, they claimed this was the second warbird fly-in. The first being in 1941 when a military pilot asked the airport owner permission to land his BT-13 there so he could visit his girlfriend. That pilot was actually there giving a talk! He is 89 and lead the U.S. show of force over Tokyo Bay over the Missouri. He was flying the lead B-29. He also took delivery of the first production B-29.

As I was leaving a DH Chipmunk appeared overheard. I hear a Corsair showed up aswell (A coworker lives nearby and saw it). I think it was Tom Duffy's "Marines Dream".

I live in Trenton NJ, and never heard of it, wish I could've known so I would've gone. Nice pics.

The SNJ/T6 with the funky silver/red stripe paint job is based at PNE, and sounds great...

Those "tundra tires" really make the Super Cub look like a cartoon!

Kinda reminds me of that old episode of "Amazing Stories," where the ball turret gunner on a crippled B-17 "imagines" a set of cartoon landing gear into existance.

This was the first time they have done a Warbird Fly-in. It looked successful enough to me that I hope they do another one next year. It was not advertised at all really. A coworker saw it mentioned in the newspaper a few weeks beforehand.

Steve, that Super Cub looked pretty cool. I really liked the markings. And yes I do remember that B-17 with the cartoon landing gear :)

It was a great way to spend a saturday morning. :)
