Hi guys,
I have a pair of Champion Ignitor plugs for an allison engine, and I dont know what they fit. I was hoping that somebody could help me with this.
One is in the original sealed Allison packaging, marked 4708-FS-27 Qty 1 Date 9/2/54
I opened the other one and it is in the Champion box that was in the Allison package. It is marked with Champion Igniter Spark Plug for Jet Propulsion Engine . Shielding Barrel Thread 3/4"-20 NEF-3 Flange Mounted.
Type FS-27 Allison PN 6728646.
I searched the numbers on the web and came up with nothing.
I got them about 15 years ago in a pile of junk, and I really like the packaging, so I kept them.

I would try contacting Rick Busch at Champion. He's the Turbine Products Support guy and should be able to identify what the FS27 was used on, but I'm suspecting it was on the J33, J35, or J71 as they were the only turbines Allison was producing in 1954 and the T56 series uses the FS87.
Rick's e-mail is -
