I love those Keystone bombers - if the NMUSAF really does have parts of two of them, I hope they do a restoration/recreation of one someday.
The movie's IMDB page (

real one, the ex-USS Moody DD-277 - not a miniature!) was filmed in San Pedro, CA according to this wreck divers' page:
