Iwo Mustangs; dual antenna tech order?

Hi all -- does anyone have the Tech Order for installation of the dual backbone antennas (the "uncle dog" setup) for a Mustang? Or perhaps the reference for it? Thanks -- Jim Beasley

Jack these are great. You're math is correct Rich and I are (if she ever gets done) redoing "Frenesi" as "The Enchantress." If we can get the antennas right it will be pretty cool.

Thanks for the info Taigh -- she's a twin stick from Dominica (FAD 1900) so we can't do the inside stock but the outside will be as stock as i can persuade Rich to make her.... jb

P-51D 46th FS 21st FG

I'm fairly confident that a/c #70 had 463299 on the tail and was named "Saki Colt"... I've met the pilot's son, and also know another 45th FS pilot who remembered it as being one of the aircraft he flew on missions. He's one of the guys featured in the film The League of Grateful Sons. This a/c also later carried the twin radio masts, and I think some other radio aerials underneath the plane.

These dual AS-148 antennas were placed on eight inch centers; so sez AN 08-30ARA8-2. -Adrian

No more Frenesi? That was one of the cooler 357th birds out there IMO. Cool to see a PTO livery though. What did the Enchantress look like?

506th FG nice but sorta plain. Not my first choice but stil a breath of fresh air. The 15th FG had the real eye popping schemes in the 7th AF and the 348th FG in the PTO except the 3rd ACG.
