HELP - I need another AN-148 Antenna for the C-47A 43-15137 cockpit that I got from Gary about 6 months ago. I've already located one:

This C-47 had two AN-148 Antennas - one on each side of the cockpit. I need another. If you have any leads please drop me an email or PM.

I also need one AN-147 Antenna for the cockpit. Email or PM me if you have one for sale or know where I can find one.

Much thanks. I plan on starting the restoration of this cockpit this summer.

Hey Gary,
Haven't done anything with the C-47 other than pile up parts. I've learned from much past "head thumping" that it is much easier to restore something if you have all of the parts. I've found one of the AN-147 and AN-148 Antennas for the nose....now I need one more set for the other side. These antennas were used with the "Rebecca" system which was the homing system for the "Eureka" system. The "Eureka" system was used by the pathfinders on the ground to aid the C-47s in the Normandy drop. The "Rebecca" system homed in on their signal. This was one hell of a way to fly in the dark seeing as only one in three C-47s during the invasion had a navigator! This C-47 did have this system. Not all C-47s used this system. I'm just now finishing my hanger and should have this cockpit mounted on a rolling frame this summer.....then the restoration/preservation will start. I'm not sure how much restoration will be done since this old bird has so much history (wartime and post-war).

My main project this spring has been the fabrication of the CG-15A Glider instrument panel section. I've been building it totally from a few pictures since there doesn't seem to be any originals available to measure. I'll post pictures when I'm done. Stay tuned!
